I had a mixed experience at St Giles House. The hotel's location is fantastic for exploring Norwich, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. however, I encountered several issues during my stay, particularly regarding cleanliness and breakfast service.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and had a lovely bed, but I noticed it had a few cobwebs and some tired-looking furniture. The bathroom could use a deep clean, especially the shower grouting.
Service
5.0
The service from staff was generally warm and welcoming, but I faced issues with breakfast timing and the lingering questions about parking fees were frustrating.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location in the city centre is simply perfect for accessing local shops and attractions, making it convenient for my stay.
Dining
6.0
While the evening meal was good and the staff around dinner were attentive, I found breakfast to be below expectations, with long waits and a lack of basic items.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had several nice amenities, but I felt the cleanliness of common areas and some specific facilities could be significantly improved.

My stay at St Giles House was a mixed experience. The location is excellent, close to the city centre, which made it easy to find local attractions. However, the quality of service left much to be desired, with an unwelcoming check-in process and some room issues that were disappointing.

Rooms
5.0
The Junior Suite I stayed in had a charming layout, but it felt a bit tired and some amenities were lacking. I found cobwebs in the room and damaged taps in the bathroom, which made it feel less than pristine.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the service didn't meet my expectations. The reception staff seemed overwhelmed and the check-in process was confusing. I also had issues during afternoon tea and with the bar service later that evening.
Location
8.0
The location was definitely a highlight, right in the heart of the city. I appreciated how easy it was to access shops and restaurants, enhancing my overall experience.
Dining
5.0
I was underwhelmed by the afternoon tea and breakfast. Although the options were adequate, they didn't offer the quality I hoped for given the hotel's reputation.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities could use improvement. I had issues with heating in the room and the bar wasn't fully operational at night, which limited my drink options.

My stay at St Giles House was quite good overall. The room was amazing—spacious, spotless, and it had a fantastic shower. However, I did experience a lengthy delay at check-in that felt a bit odd. Despite this, the friendly staff and the hotel's charm made my visit enjoyable.

The room was simply amazing—huge and spotless with excellent amenities. I had the Z-bed on the floor which was perfectly fine, and my friend loved her double bed.

The hotel is ideally located, making it easy to explore the market area and nearby attractions during my stay.
Dining

The breakfast was generous and high-quality, which I really appreciated, especially after the check-in delays.

The bar area was inviting, and it was nice to unwind there. However, I wish check-in had been a bit smoother to enjoy more of the facilities.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at St Giles House. While the hotel has a charming façade and outdoor bar area, the room fell short of my expectations with its outdated furnishings and cleanliness issues. The breakfast was enjoyable but took longer than I anticipated, and the parking situation was slightly unclear at check-in.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious but needed attention, with stained bedding and outdated decor. Despite the comfortable bed, I noticed cobwebs and issues with the bathroom.
Service
6.0
Staff interactions were pleasant, although some responses felt rushed. I appreciated the friendliness but found the efficiency could improve, particularly during peak hours.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is convenient for city exploration, being close to attractions. The parking was also reasonably priced for a central area.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed the breakfast quality, especially the cooked options, but the wait for it to arrive was longer than I would have liked. Afternoon tea felt underwhelming in both variety and presentation.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has a lovely bar area and outdoor space, but overall, the amenities felt tired and in need of an update.

My stay at St Giles House was overall enjoyable, with the friendly staff and unique historical atmosphere being standout features. However, I did experience some significant issues, particularly with the noise from a party in the nearby apartment, which kept my family and I awake until the early hours. While the location is fantastic for exploring Norwich, it seems that noise management could use some improvement. 🎉

Rooms

The apartment we stayed in was clean and comfortable, exceeding my expectations, except for the noise issue which disturbed our stay.

The reception staff were warm and welcoming, making the check-in smooth despite some quirks in management. I appreciated their attentiveness.
Location

The location was excellent, just a short walk from the city center and its attractions, allowing easy access to everything Norwich has to offer.
Dining

I enjoyed the breakfast offerings, which were of high quality, featuring made-to-order items that stood out during my stay.
Facilities

The hotel had a charming atmosphere, though some areas seemed a bit dated, like the lobby of our apartment.
